GENERAL INFORMATION

Antigua is most famous for its 365 beaches, one for every day of the year. Nearest to the house are stunning Pigeon Beach and idyllic Galleon Beach where swimming is safe in the warm waters, often alongside turtles.

Also available nearby are scuba diving, horse riding, historic tours and rainforest walks. Boat trips can be arranged right around the island. Falmouth and English Harbour are most famous for sailing with the notable regattas of the RORC 600 in February, Classic Week and Race Week in April. The area comes alive with crews and parties at those times. Cedar Valley is the main golf course on the island providing club hire and buggies. Other attractions include swimming with sting rays, and the tree top zip wire rides in the tropical rainforest.

Within a 10 minute walk from the house there are plentiful restaurants offering the highest quality cuisine and wine at one end and pizzas and beer at the other. There are many vibrant local bars often offering live music. Recommendations and reservations can be made prior to your visit.

GOLF

Cedar Valley is the main golf course on the island providing club hire and buggies. It is approximately 35 minutes’ drive from the house. It’s a good course with spectacular views. There is also a golf course at Jolly Harbour.

SAILING

Falmouth and English Harbour are most famous for sailing with the notable regattas of Antigua Charter Boat Show in December, the RORC 600 in February, Classic Week and Race Week in April. The area comes alive with crews and parties at those times. Sailing boats can be chartered with or without crew for part of a day, a full day or more.

Hummingbird House is surrounded by great dining venues offering everything from the highest quality cuisine and wine to pizzas and beer. There are many vibrant local bars often offering live music. Recommendations and reservations can be made prior to your visit. Within a 10 minute walk we can currently recommend: Catherine’s Café, Colibri, Cloggy’s, South Point, Abracadabra, Sun Ra, Trapas and Flatties.

An approximate 40 minute drive
