Antigua is serviced by daily flights from the UK, North America, Canada and certain European Cities to VC Bird International Airport. Local airlines offer connecting flights to and from most Caribbean islands.
ON ARRIVAL
VC Bird International Airport is approximately 30 minutes from Hummingbird House. We can arrange collection by taxi from the airport and you will be met at the house and welcomed. Car hire can be arranged for all or part of your stay. The car hire company will meet you at the airport if you wish. A local driving license (in addition to your own) is necessary and can be purchased from the car hire company. In Antigua driving is on the left. Taxis are plentiful and good value.
Currency
The local currency is East Caribbean dollars which has a fixed conversion rate to the US dollar. Both currencies are accepted on the island. Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere and there is a bank within 10 minutes walk.
